Wheat

AC Unity VB is the highest yielding midge tolerant wheat.             

Strengths

  • Good sprouting resistance

  • Very good leaf and stem rust resistance

  • High test weight

  • Medium maturity equal to AC Barrie

AC Lillian provides resistance to the wheat stem sawfly along with improved grain yield, increased grain protein and better disease resistance compared to AC Abbey, the wheat stem sawfly check variety.

  • Lower levels of cutting by the wheat stem sawfly

  • High grain yield, 103% of AC Barrie

  • High grain protein

  • Better resistance to leaf rust and leaf spotting diseases

Harvest is a high yielding CWRSW with a high test weight and very good lodging resistance

AC Snowstar is a Canada Western Hard White Spring Wheat

  • Shorter, stronger straw than AC Snowbird

  • Awnless

AC Strongfield Durum Wheat

Strengths

Barley
AC Metcalfe  2 row malting barley which is #1 in acreage and tonnes selected.  AC Metcalfe is the standard for malting barley with an established market demand.

CDC Copeland  2 row malting barley is second in acreage and tonnes selected.  CDC Copeland has an increasing market demand with improved yield and straw strength. 

CDC Coalition  2 row feed barley is a leader in yield and standability.  Maturity is similar to Xena and the height is shorter than Xena.  CDC Coalition has large, plump grain with high test weight.

Canola

Canterra Seeds
1841 RR - Canterra's flagship variety.  The best standing canola on the market!  A great choice for fields under irrigation or with high nitrogen levels (ex. manured fields). 

1950 RR - New to Canterra.  At an average yield of 123% of checks (46A65, Q2) in the mid- and long-season zones, this is the highest yielding commercial GENRR hybrid registered in 2009. 

1956 RR - New to Canterra.  You can't go wrong with its strong yield (119% of checks (46A65, Q2), 2.2% higher oil and value price.  SOLD OUT FOR 2010.


DeKalb Seed
7145 RR - Genuity RR Hybrid.  Yield Ready hybrid performance.  High oil content and performs extremely well across all season zones.

7255 RR - Genuity RR Hybrid.  Yield Ready hybrid performance.  Top end yield potential in an excellent agronomic package. 



FP Genetics
93H01 RR - Top Performer with excellent yield, good lodging resistance, great harvestability, excellent early season vigor with medium maturity. 

83S01RR - Roundup ready composite hybrid.  This variety has great yield potential, early maturity, good lodging resistance, hybrid like performance with the flexibility  of the Roundup Ready weed control system.



Pioneer Hi-Bred
45H28  RR - Yield leader.  Exciting hybrid with outstanding yield and very high oil content.  Solid agronomics

45H26 RR - Exceptional yield and oil content.  Impressive early growth with strong harvest standability.

45H29 RR - Only clubroot resistant (race 3) available on the market! Exceptional yield potential and solid agronomics.

45S51 RR - A first in the lineup!  New hybrid that offers a moderate level of resistance to sclerotinia.  Superb yield potential. 

45H73 CL - Excellent yield.  Moderate plant height.  Exceptional early growth with very good standability.

Peas and Forage

CDC Meadow - This variety came out of the Saskatchewan Pulse Growers program.  CDC Meadow is a yellow pea which has high yield, good lodging resistance and early maturing. 

SW Midas - High yielding semi leafless yellow pea.  The seed size is smaller than most.  SW Midas has good lodging resistance with an earlier maturity.

CDC Centennial - This variety is also from the Saskatchewan Pulse Growers program.  Top yielder in co-op and regional trials, medium-early maturity. 


Inoculant - Markert Seeds offers liquid, peat, granular and Tag Team inoculant.  Polymers may be applied if requested.

Special Crops
Bunker Triticale - Forage triticale used for silage.  Long, plump heads leading to high yields.

CDC Baler Oat - A forage oat.  Leaf size lends to high tonnage.
